About Michael Chang
Each community is unique and has its own concerns and needs. My focus is always on improving the lives of everyone and this is why I decided to run for the council - to make the Township better. The Township of Langley has been a home for all of my Canadian life. All my kids have grown up here and are educated into responsible citizens. My family and I are deeply grateful to live in the Township.
As a business consultant and businessman for more than 25 years, I recognize the importance of a thriving economy. I believe we need to focus on creating well-paid jobs as well as supporting local small businesses in our community as we recover from the pandemic.
Of course, the pandemic also showed how important access to healthcare was. I care deeply about the health and well-being of our residents, especially our seniors and vulnerable population. I share Canadian’s value of equal and accessible healthcare here in Langley.
As a proud Canadian, I share with fellow Canadians the appreciation for diversity, inclusivity, and understanding of one another. Reconciliation with the Indigenous peoples of Canada and here in Township should be a priority, and recognizing systemic discrimination against minorities, disabled peoples, and the homeless should be addressed.

My visions for the Township are Well-planned and balanced development with the master plan, Creating more jobs for all generations, making housing more affordable, Investing in the community centre and youth programs, and looking after seniors and people in need.
The Township is one of the best municipalities in BC even in Canada with great potential. If I am elected, I will be a new voice with new ideas which lead us to prepare next 4 years and beyond.
The Township should be the place to live, work, enjoy and thrive for every generation. We can do it and We will do it. Thank you!
